Considering that Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and Australia’s third biggest city, a short Brisbane accommodation guide could just as easily end up as a fat book. Thing is, there are just so many choices, from motels and backpackers to hotels and resorts. There are also non-traditional visitor accommodations, such as farms and caravans.
For those looking for cheap accommodations, there are a huge number of backpackers in the City. There are many bunched around the Roma St. Transit Centre, and also in the West End and South Bank. The other option is Fortitude Valley, but hat’s going to need an entire new section, so hold that thought.
Most of the Backpackers in the West End are pretty decent. They know exactly what visitors need, including a kitchen, swimming pool, bar and a game room, and wifi internet. Most also offer some kind of mass transportation or free shuttle to the Transit Centre and the pubs.
For those looking for something a little more luxurious, the large luxury hotels are in Southern Brisbane. The best ones are close to the Convention Centre, Kangaroo Point and the QPAC. Another place to find posh hotels suitable for business and leisure travelers is around the Airport.
Of course, the 5-star hotels and the sprawling resorts are at one end of the available options. The cheap backpackers and YHA are at the other end. In between, there’s a lot of space filled by motels and B&B’s and all kinds of lodging choices.
Unconventional accommodation options for tourists include apartments and vacation homes. There are also luxury cottages and farm-houses available, for those willing to look beyond Brisbane City. Options in the Greater Brisbane area include Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast accommodations.
Coming back to Fortitude Valley, it offers one of the most sought after locales for tourists and visitors who want to have a good time without spending too much. The accommodations are cheap and the nightlife and the pubs are good. As an added advantage, it is just a couple of stops away by train from Roma St, and also offers a direct train to the airport.
Lastly, there are caravans and campgrounds for those who want to experience the outdoors and the best of Queensland. Renting a caravan can be especially cheap and convenient. It not only takes care of accommodation, but also transport to all the attractions. To be noted that caravans, apartments, cabins and cottages are all more economical than a hotel room. This is especially true for extended stays and if the rent is shared by a group.
In summarization, just as Brisbane is a vibrant multi-hued city, a Brisbane accommodation guide is also made up of many choices. The ultimate decision should be based on the purpose of the trip and its budget. Some locations offer more for business stays, while others are in the middle of leisure hotspots. From ultra-luxury resorts to bunk bed dorms that charge a few dollars, Brisbane offers a place to stay for everyone.
Wayne Hockey came into this world and raised in Brisbane Australia and nowadays manages a Brisbane Accommodation online business for visitors to the district. He has a couple of kids and is also an enthusiastic motion picture fan.

Hawaii is called paradise in the usa. Every island in the state of Hawaii has a completely different feel to it, yet all of them involve luxury and relaxation. For individuals who have visited the Caribbean and have experienced the opulence of a classic all-inclusive resort they might be interested in taking the same kind of vacation in Hawaii. Having said that, Hawaii does not have quite the same all-inclusive experience that the major resorts in the Caribbean have. Instead, Hawaiian All-Inclusive vacations are constructed slightly differently.
Part of the reason that you will not find a traditional All-Inclusive resort in Hawaii is due to the price of transporting food as well as other goods to the islands. So, does that mean that you can’t find a vacation that has some features of your trip incorporated? Absolutely not! Here are a couple of guidelines to help you find a trip that will include some features that you are looking for.
When thinking about booking a vacation resort in Hawaii conduct some investigation to see if you’re able to get some services as well as meals included. For example, you will find resorts in Hawaii where meals will be included. A number of resorts also include airport transfers as well as some activities. Many Hawaiian resorts provide some type of kids’ club activities for the kids too! Here are only a some of the resorts that you may wish to check into for your next Hawaiian trip
The Kona Village is a resort that’s located on the Big Island in Hawaii. It’s situated on the Kohala Coast, and all of the resorts visitors stay in cottages that are spread out on eighty two acres. Your overnight rate here will include your meals and most of your activities. The Kona Village also offers a kids program 6-12 year olds, and it has several activities for the teenagers in your family.
You might also wish to check into a local travel agent or service that could be able to create an all-inclusive Hawaii Package. Ensure that you very carefully read all of the fine print so that you know exactly what you’re getting. For example, Hawaii-Aloha can build you all-inclusive deals on both Oahu or Maui. These types of packages include your meals, lodging, tranfers as well as select activities.
You may also want to look into the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel. This vacation resort was picked as a top spot for families by FamilyFun magazine. When booking at the Ka’anapali you’ll want to take advantage of one of their packages that includes your hotel, car rental, breakfast buffet, and one dinner for your stay. Despite the fact that it is not completely all-inclusive, it does offer a number of aspects of your trip for a reasonable cost. Not only that, but the Ka’anapali also offers a complimentary kids program.
Those are only a few of the options that you can find in the gorgeous state of Hawaii. Even though there are not the traditional all-inclusive choices that you might find in the Caribbean, you’ll find wonderful deals readily available for vacationers. By carrying out a little investigation, you’re sure to be able to discover a package that completely meets your requirements!

The crystal caves in the caverns of north eastern Pennsylvania offer a crisp and cool and tranquil escape from the heat of the muggy PA summer heat. Few places hold this spiritual aura vibrating from the stalactites aiming water from nature’s targeted positions on the ceiling into the water below.
Over millions of years the walls of these ancient caves have been discolored, copper toned from the rocks natural metallic presence and the most beautiful patterns from the iron veins sprawling the intricate dents and cracks in the walls.
Rodents of ancient lineage have inhabited these caves as their food supply has evolved along with them. Even a little gray rat paddling across the water from one side of the cavern to the other does so in a graceful manner without the ‘yuk’ factor to spoil the setting. Look closer on the walls and one can see ancient attempts to make art out of the native’s reality; a reality that was strenuous and difficult to survive.
The winters are ice cold with snow drifts that can stretch 10 feet or more in this particular region. The summers are so diabolically hot they’ll rape you of your last breath as pollen tumble weed dust infest your lungs. The sketchings on the wall are etched by hands who knew a labor far more strenuous than we could ever imagine.
These caverns, when one listens carefully, beneath the layers of drips, gentle paddle swooshes and silence, the voices of the past come calling. Whispers of men who once inhabited these hills and underground abysses telling us a story of times long past. The powers have changed hands, the land title and deed falls into the corrupt hands of the local sheriff and this ancient place is just a distant memory as people from Doylestown, Chalfont and Philadelphia come to buy souvenirs and t-shirts to remember a place that they never took the time to understand in the first place.
Pennsylvania’s Lost River Caverns are some of the most beautiful and hypnotizing sites you’ll ever see.

Europe is known for its high costs but this should not stop you from travelling to Europe! Although the prices are higher compared to other continents, you can still travel to some European spots that are very wallet friendly. A good example is cheap travel to Cyprus.
Booking a package holiday to Cyprus is a smart move to save up on travel expenses as well as a cost effective way to soak up in sunshine and get relaxing views of the ocean. You can opt to have self catering accommodations and bed and breakfast to save up on meal expenses. All inclusive also give you the option to save more.
Although Europe is known for the high costs and standards of living, you can get meals, entertainment, rent and excursions on a comparatively lower price. The prices here are lower. This is proven because tourist ratings show that Cyprus is one of the most affordable and cheapest tourist destinations in Europe. Therefore, getting to Cyprus on budget still allows you to leave a little space for more.
The best way to guarantee availing the lowest of low rates is to travel off season. The rates on air fare and accommodation as well as food and rentals are slashed pretty low because of the decline of tourists at off season. Therefore it is wise to book yourself in months exclusive of July, August and late December because these months are peak seasons. You can also opt to travel on weekdays at unusual hours rather than weekends.
Cyprus has a lot of great accommodations. You can get to the island via a ferry ride which will not cost you much. The beaches are less commercialized therefore they don’t demand too high rates. There are also tourist attractions which do not ask for entrance fees.
You can also opt to dine in the local restaurant rather than going to classy restaurants. Once inland, you can also travel on foot. With a cheap travel to Cyrus, you can enjoy a quality holiday for less.

In the story books they are always referred to as a desert island or a deserted island but in truth what we really want is a tropical island, not exactly desert and not really deserted either. Essentially our perfect tropical island needs a certain element of exclusivity, certainly luxury, great weather and we need to be looked after and provide for whilst we are there. So what are the Top 10 Tropical Island Paradises for 2011?
Antigua – Part of the Caribbean Leeward Islands and famous as a wedding location and equally for romantic honeymooners. Think pink and white beaches that are almost fairytale themselves. It’s not just for the romantics though. Action seekers will love the coral reefs for diving and snorkelling or just for lazy days on the beach. A great base for a visit would be Nonsuch Bay with its beach tucked away below tranquil tropical gardens.
Aruba – A jewel lying somewhere between the Azure Sea and Sky. Swaying Palms and stunning white beaches are everywhere. Why not stay in one of the Tamarijn’s Ocean Front rooms on Druif Beach and watch the Southern Caribbean world, go slowly by.
Cayman Islands – Situated in turquoise waters of the Western Caribbean, the three Cayman Islands are certainly the image of paradise. The islands are Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Pirates Point Resort on Little Cayman even has a special Lionfish Roundup event which just has to be experienced.
Fiji – The South Pacific Island of Fiji of course is everyone’s idea of a dream tropical island, situated to the North of New Zealand Fiji has a character all of it’s own. It is actually a collection of more than 300 individual islands all with those amazing crystal clear shallow waters lapping against white sandy beaches. The range of activities available are amazing. You could stay at a beach front 5 star resort or back pack through the jungle. Our recommendation is Castaway Island, a stunning 174 acre private island resort.
Maldives – Everyone has heard of the Maldives but not all are lucky enough to have visited this stunning part of the world. Over 1000 tiny islands and atolls scatterred in the sea. Everyone arrives at the capital Male before skimming across the open sea to the island resort of your choice. Ours was Full Moon Resort with bungalows sitting on stilts above the water on this tiny island that takes just minutes to walk around.
Mauritius – Situated in the Indian Ocean, yet again that tropical island feel with sandy white beaches a clear warm waters. Mauritius is larger than most of the other top 10 tropical islands but don’t let that put you off. It’s relatively easy to get to and has a huge range of activities and places to stay. Why not try the private peninsula that is Le Saint Geran for a truly pampering experience.
Perhentian Islands – Just off the east coast of Malaysia lie the Perhentian Islands. This pair of islands seem almost untouched by the modern world. There are no roads, you either travel along the coastline or trek through the jungle if you want to get about. For a quiet island vacation try the Arwana Eco Resort.
Seychelles – The Seychelles consist of more than 100 islands situated in the Indian Ocean to the north of Madagascar. The Seychelles second largest island is Preslin, this amazing location was once believed to be the site of the Garden of Eden with towering palms and exotic birds and is not to be missed.
St Lucia – Rising up out of the Eastern Caribbean waters is St Lucia with its sparkling waves, it’s sandy beaches and it’s rain forests. Whether you want to dive, snorkel, ride horses or trek through the forests here is the place to do it. Experience the breathtaking setting of Jalousie Plantation in the rain forest overlooking the sea.
Tahiti – The pacific island of Tahiti is well known as the setting of many famous classic movies and certainly does not disappoint. The Intercontinental Tahiti Resort has its own private beach and is probably the most luxurious resort in Tahiti. Tahiti has a tropical island feel yet has something for everyone from diving and horse riding to Golf and Deep Sea Fishing.

So you are planning on going on a cruise but want to save money? Remember that if you are going to go to the trouble to find an inexpensive cruise, be sure that pre-cruise prep doesn’t tack on a whole bunch of expenses. Here are tips to help you control these costs:
First, shop your own closet.
Your summer clothes from last season are fine for your cheap cruise. You’re going to relax, not to participate in an on-deck fashion show. Don’t go blow all your money before the trip on new swimwear and shorts. Your old Hawaii shirts and last summer’s swim trunks will serve you just fine.
Your luggage that you already have is also sufficient. Nobody cares if you have fantastic matching brand name leather luggage. In fact, if anyone noticed at all, they would probably think you were trying too hard. Instead, just bring a roomy duffle and get your items packed and ready to go.
Stick to cash, and bring plastic for emergencies.
You don’t want to leave all of your plastic at home, because sometimes emergencies do happen. But finding a really cool souvenir is not an emergency. If you budget ahead of time, and stick to both cash and travelers’ checks for spending, you won’t be tempted to add just a little something’ on the credit card. These little expenditures don’t seem like much but really add up.
Stock up on film before you leave.
You will take tons of pictures on your cruise. You want to have memories, and pictures to share with family and friends. If you run out of film and need to replace it while on the cruise, you are going to pay a lot for every roll. Cruise lines overcharge for this, knowing that people will want film badly enough they will pay. Instead, be smart and bring a whole lot of film with you — and buy this film from a discount store.
Use the tips I’ve provided above to help you maintain the savings that you have gotten by booking an inexpensive cruise. There’s no point in booking a cheap cruise and then blowing a fortune on preparation items. Be frugal, but have fun!
